Automatically set me away - not that the heating is on!
The quality difference has definitely noticed, but so has the price! But it's worth it to be honest, for the taste and helping local business!
Also taking part in a sunflower growing competition with work. Hoping to have the tallest sunflower ever by the end 🌻🌻🌻 #SupportingUkraine
Finally got round to planting the vegetable seeds - radishes, purple broccoli and beetroots 😋 I’ve never grown food before so fingers crossed they turn out ok 🤞🏼🌱
Sticking with the chocolate theme, I particularly like Tony’s chocolate. They have a mission to make the chocolate supply chain more fair for farmers and they highlight the real issue of modern slavery due to low cocoa prices. They are also adopting sustainable practices and actually give training to farmers so they farm sustainably too! More info on their website here https://tonyschocolonely.com/uk/en/our-mission

With Easter and all things chocolate in mind…. Chococo is Dorset based artisan chocolatier adopting sustainable practices…more details via the website (link above) 🍫🐰🐥
No bees in the bee hotel yet 🐝 maybe a renovation will encourage them to book in!
In support of the challenge to buy from local businesses rather than a chain… we went to Southport for a walk yesterday and found the new Southport Market. We haven’t been before but it’s fantastic with a great bar and various local businesses selling food. We had freshly made pizzas from ‘600 Degrees’, an ice cream from ‘Conehead’ and a blondie from ‘Cake Corner’. There’s something for everyone and it has a great atmosphere. One to try if you haven’t been already.
