The truth is… There’s nothing wrong with being wealthy. Being wealthy just makes you more of who you really are. And in most case, it means genuinely wanting to make a difference in the quality of people’s’ lives. It’s important to ask yourself, too: Why do you want to be rich?
Do you want to have a luxurious lifestyle? Do you want to travel? To eat at nice restaurants? Maybe you want to start your own business. Or maybe.. Give your parents a retirement where they don’t have to work if they don’t want to, or start a scholarship fund for high school/college entrepreneurs, or stay in touch with my friends by seeing them in person often?..
I believe it’s really important to consciously think about why you want to be rich. If you don’t, it’s easy to get caught up in a race to get more and more money without ever knowing why.
You don't have to work, get money, spend money and work again, repeating that cycle until you're so old and sick you can't work anymore..
Instead, you can work to save, save to invest and eventually stop working because your money ir working for you.
First thing you I try to change my mindset. If I want to built wealth, I have to start by telling myself it' OK. One of the biggest obstacles to making lots of money is not a lack of goods ideas or opportunities or time, or that we are too slovenly or stupid. It is that we refuse to give ourselves permission to become rich.
Certain common phrases are particularly limiting. Here are eight examples watch out for, in yourself and the people you surround yourself with:
"I want" is another way of saying "I lack"
"I wish" is another way of saying "I'm not in control," which is disempowering
"I need" is another way of saying "I lack"
"I can't" is self-explanatory
"I'm trying" implies you're not committed
"I hope" implies it might happen or it might not, which shows you lack faith
"I should" implies maybe you won't or don't want to
"I don't know" slams the door shut on finding out
Here's what you should be saying instead:
"I have.."
"I create.."
"I'm grateful for.."
"I enjoy.."
"I can.."
"I choose.."
"I love.."
Our thoughts and words are more powerful than you can imagine. If you can change your mindset about money, you can change your financial situation. Dream big and follow your dreams
