Placing bets on challenges and staking as Jury to verify outcomes.
Anyone can place a bet with real Moticoins on the outcome of a challenge, choosing from whatever bet options the challenge offers (for example, whether it will be achieved by its deadline). Once enough people have bet, the outcome gets settled and winnings are paid out from the losing side's stake.
Some bet outcomes aren't automatic — they need a human to confirm what actually happened in real life. Staking Moticoins makes you eligible to be selected as a juror for those cases, and jurors are relied on to verify outcomes fairly and honestly.
Yes, from Profile > Assets you can request to unstake. It doesn't return instantly — the request goes into a pending list and takes effect after a short waiting period, which you can also see and manage from that same page.
Once a challenge has an active bet placed on it, its tasks and completion status get locked. This protects everyone who bet real coins on the outcome — without the lock, a challenge owner could technically change the rules after money was already on the line.
Nothing to claim manually — once a bet resolves, winnings are credited straight to your Moticoin wallet automatically, and you'll see the transaction in your Wallet history.
A challenge with an active bet can't be deleted until that bet resolves, specifically to prevent this situation — see "Why can't I edit my challenge anymore?" above.
